What should happen and what does happen are two entirely different things. The problem here is what is happening - hence the suggestion

Didn't you just post this verbage four days ago.

"Obviously youi have a reading disability - read slowly and carefully what was said by John, this does not happen at all in our retail versions of software."

Not usign an OEM version. Bought the retail version from Best Buy

Not usign an OEM version. Bought the retail version from Best Buy and am running on an ACER 5920G

specs:

dual centrino

Nvidia 8600M GT graphics

Vista home ultimate

2 GB RAM

getting frustrated with this program. Is v9.1 out? I see it mentioned in the message board but am unable to locate the update.

Now how could that be? It's not supposed to happen on the retail version of software!

Verbiage?

From someone who posts on anything and everything - usually totally unhelpfully

HAH

'gi7omy' No idea on the lines to be honest - I don't do transitions myself but did you try either updating the graphics drivers or running in software render?

'ml' Daithi,

Version 7 doesn't have an option to software/hardware render.

'gi7omy' As I said ml - I don't use it so I wouldn't know

Something that just struck me - g3man (I don't know if you're the guy from Lincs who has that callsign or not ;)) - if you start from the 'Home' icon on the desktop, it will try to connect to the internet (for 'offers', news, update info etc), but if you open individual apps from the start, programs menu, it won't (or shouldn't)

If it won't work from the home screen why did they make the program with a home screen.

Even if one is not connected this is what the home screen should say.

getting started

1) Click on a tab to the left

2) Review the Project Guide to learn which project is right for you

3) Select a project and follow the on-screen instructions

Connect to the internet for additional features and content including:

yes, selecting the indiviudal applications under roxio program folder works. Unfortunately, not all applications are available directly. Some require you to go through the Home (Central) program. Crippled program with Vista from my perspective. Still cannot convert DVD movies (app crash when I try to load a DVD file) ..submitted in a different post.

--no replies from Roxio support to date

Anxiously awaiting the 9.1 updae to see if it fixes it.
