Can't install downloaded upgrade to EMC 9 Suite

Ike Lindbergh

Question

Apologies if this has been posted before, I did check back through the forums and couldn't find this topic.

I received my new Dell computer and Roxio Creator 9.0 DE came with it. While messing around the EMC 9.0 there were various opportunities within the program to upgrade to EMC 9 Suite which I did.

I downloaded the purchased upgrade and saved it to the desktop. During the InstallWizard set up portion the program stops with "You must install Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 before installing the content" alert and then you click out of that it shuts Wizard down.

This shouldn't seem possible if the purchased upgrade was through a link from EMC 9? I had already registered EMC 9 so I would think that the upgrade would take and recognize the EMC9.0.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks for the help and time,

Ike Lindbergh

Sounds like you only downloaded the content file, not the program file. There are two files to download. You have to install the program one first, then the content one.
