GusGorman
I'm having the exact same problem as LindaB. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times and even tried Beerman's suggestion of a clean install a few times, but I still get the same error message "The certificate is missing....Please re-install it." Would system restore fix this problem?

Dell usually includes a disk with all the preinstalled software so be sure you didn't overlook it. Also, if not, most have a partition on the hard drive to restore the system back to new. You really should contact Dell about this is you need a copy of this OEM program. As far as you project, will it let you save it? Was this working before you got this error? You may have guessed that i am a bit of a novice, where do i find the partition on my hard drive to restore my system back to new. If that doesn't work i will try dell. Have already been on their website and for help with software problems they charge which i think is a bit unfair. Thanks for your help.

I'm hesitant to suggest anything further so that I don't have you do something that causes you more problems. If you need to reset your computer back to factory settings, you really should contact Dell. That's the safest thing to do (I think).

Goodwin
Have you followed the clean install instructions found here? If you are using Vista 64 bit, the clean install instructions will not work.
