You'd have to contact HP about that. Not sure if HP still gives installation disc copies are if it's just on a hard drive partition. Since it's an OEM version, it's likely only they can help you.

OK done that, have uninstalled / reinstalled the program but still the same problem. Once I add a file it just sits, Task Manager shows as Not Responding.

Any ideas?

OK, let's back up a bit then. You say it was working and this is something new? Have you added anything lately? What about a system restore? If you know when it worked last and have your system set up for system restore, you can try that. But, I really think you should also try HP support since this is their version. They might even have an update for all we know.

Hello

not sure what happened but recently myDVD is no longer working, it will open but when I try to add any files it will freeze and I have to manually shut it down.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks

Guess you can start by trying a repair install. Perhaps some file(s) got corrupted and a repair install may fix this. Run a hard drive defrag too which is good to do weekly anyway. Of course, run the antivirus and spyware scans as they too can cause problems.

It could be something as simple as adding a new program that caused the trouble.

Sounds like something is conflicting with the Sonic app. Have you added or updated anything lately? Maybe installed IE 7? That's one program reported to cause problems in older software when installed on XP systems. If you did install it (IE 7), uninstall it and see if that helps.

There is no option to repair in the add/remove programs? The program was preinstalled when I got the computer (HP) would you know where I can get the installation files to reinstall?

Thanks
