Network Error while attempting to read from file

ahall68801

Question

I'm trying extremely hard to get this software to work so I dont' have to return it, but it's getting more frustrating by the minute!

So far, I have installed, uninstalled this program fixing errors as they come and my lastest is upon loading Roxio, Windows Installer has presented me with this error: RecordNowCopy: A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\users\owner\Andi's Roxio\17308.msi.

The reason for the C:\users..etc. is that I have copy the files from the installation CD to the hard drive and I named it Andi's Roxio so I wouldn't confuse what that file is, as directed by Live Chat earlier today. I've done Clean Install Instructions for Creator 9on Windows Vista, whatever "invalid Pointer comerror 80004003" was supposed to do, made sure I had the latest Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, DirectX, uninstalled, reinstalled, deleted Roxio and Sonic from hard drive, the registry, disable all programs to re-install, all with the Live Chat advice. I've also looked at Help through my Compaq and learned what network errors are.

Also, once that error pops up, I click "OK" and the software loads. When I choose "Quick DVD" this message appears: Resource Loader: LoadImage method: Skin image "loading.png" found but cannot be loaded. I have found this file and was able to open it up seperately, so it IS there.

Any ANY help with my situation would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks for the time,

Andrea
