TomXPS
Dazzle is a bundled extra with EMC - it's made and supported by Pinnacle (www.pinnacle.com) It's a simple capture device is all - you connect it between the VCR and computer and it brings in the audio/video - no switches, no configuring or anything else. Even Pinnacle don't host any manual or tutorial for it as far as I know, but you could check on their website I agree with you on most of this. But Roxio should at least include the drivers and instructions on installing the drivers. It took me a while to figure this out, finding the drivers for Vista was not that easy. After getting the drives installed using the dazz was easy, only problem then was the Roxio capture softward did not work until i got 9.1 patch I am able to capture video with Vista. For something advertised to work with Vista was not true, most of the software worked but I expected all of it to work.
gi7omy
9.0 came out before Vista - hence no drivers (Pinnacle hadn't released them)
TomXPS
I just installed the 9.1 patch and it still does not include the Vista drivers. How the **** does Roxio consider this to be Vista certified? Where did you find the 9.1 Patch ? I did not think it was out. Anyway you might want to consider returning your 9.0 software for 10.0 version. 9.0 seem to have a lot of propblem working with Vista. I have not been happy at all with the Video Capture, got the Daz90 to work with the drivers, from another site but as soon as I start capturing the video the system fails with a unknown error after about 8 seconds. Really think Roxio should give all of us a good deal on 10 since they promised Vista support under 9.0 but really never worked that well for the video capture. gi7omy
The patches are here. Just make sure you have the correct one. If you are having problems with the DVC90, they won't help in that (the drivers come from Pinnacle)
johnc770
Roxio's part of it is certified and is what they updated. The drivers you want are for the 3rd party hardware they gave you, of which they have no control over it's drivers. Use the link posted to get the drivers, or go to the Pinnacle site and get the drivers for their device. Why then does Roxio include the XP drivers but not see fit to include the Vista drivers with the software?

gi7omy
Why don't you ask Roxio? Or better still, ask Pinnacle why they didn't update their drivers until well after Vista went on public release

james_hardin
Plug it into your USB2 port. Plug in a video source to the Dazzle device – leads are color coded. Open Media Capture and select Video then the Dazzle device. Capture the video and then play with it in VideoWave.
appleshedrose
it would seem, that Roxio did include an extra file withe EMC 10 Deluxe , that contains the Pinnacle Drivers. However the Dazzle 100 came and no directions are included- none whatsoever. So I went to support and they replied- the drivers are included in XP. WOW- you Roxio techies really should read and learn to answer questions. Rarely ,if ever, are questions answered . WHY NOT????? How can Roxio sell something without a manual, directions or tutorial for the dazzle. I just talked to a supervisorat Roxio. Here is what he said--NOW GET THIS!!!! You have to call paid support for your questions. WOW This is the newest deluxe version and I have to pay to find out how to use it??WOW!!! Roxio, you better look out or you will loose us faithful customers.

raytv
Plug it into your USB2 port. Plug in a video source to the Dazzle device – leads are color coded. Open Media Capture and select Video then the Dazzle device. Capture the video and then play with it in VideoWave. A tag on the capture device says to install software first. Did the software install with the Deluxe Program Install and/or the Content install discs? When I go to 9 Deluxe Video Import page, Dazzle is not listed. (of course the device is not plugged in as I'm not sure the software is there)

Larry
If it can't find the drivers when you plug it in, try the appropriate Roxio KB article: **** DVC 90 Drivers - KB Articles Vista: http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/000137CR XP: http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/000136CR
