I just got toast 8 but...

It won't launch. I copied it to my applications folder and double clicked the icon but nothing happens. Toast briefly flashes in my dock but then nothing.

 

Is it possible that I don't meet the system requirements? I have a powerbook g4 (1.5 ghz powerpc g4) with over a gig of ram and os x.

 

Can anyone help?

I had exact same problem. Go to Roxio's site and get the update to 8.0.1. I know, you just bought it and it should be the latest version, but it is not. How stupid is that?

 

Now with 8.0.1 mine works fine.

The Powerbook meets the hardware requirement. Are you running OS 10.4?

designillinois, if aerobot doesn't have 10.4, 8.0.1 will not help...

Drat -- I was thinking about getting Toast 8, but I'm only running 10.3.9. So, I guess Toast is, well, toast if I'm not running 10.4? (I was hoping that only some functionality (like those things that might utilize encoding abilities new to 10.4) would be restricted.)
