gi7omy
Over here one of the big box shifters has been doing all sorts of incentives to get people online (or even go to their outlets - well, they do charge more than most for their stuff) but this one is the latest. Sign up for two years broadband and we'll GIVE you a laptop Detalils here Oh and not to be outdone, another chain electrical store (Curry's) is offering a 300 sterling voucher ($600) off any computer in their range for the same 2 year deal with the same ISP
REDWAGON
That's amazing Daithi. The laptop certainly is very skimpy on what it has in it, but hey, what the heck, it's a laptop, huh ? And like you suggested, what is the monthly cost for the 2 years ? (I didn't check the Orange Broadcast Services link). Frank...
gi7omy
Orange charge what is pretty much the standard rate - 14.95 per month (about $30). It's probably down to Richard Branson's company Virgin taking over my provider (NTL did 'phone, cable TV and internet as a package deal) and the now renamed 'VirginMedia' added cellphone to the package (at an increased price but a very good cellphone deal)
REDWAGON
That's pretty interesting Daithi. I wonder when we will start seeing some of our US ISP's offering a similar deal ? Frank...
