Pronblem playing Audio CD on a simple CD player

Tonyros

Question

I have EMC9 on a new Dell (Vista 64bit). When I create an AudioCD it seems to burn OK but my car CD player which will not read Data or MP3 CDs will not recognise the disk. CDs produced on an earlier version work fine, and the new Disk will play on a more capable player. Tracks are burned in .cda format which I assume is correct. Can anyone help with this?

If they'll play somewhere, then they were written "correctly". The problem is likely a writer/disc/player mismatch. Try some different brands of discs to see if you can find one that both your writer and player like. And make sure you use CD-R (write once) not CD-RW (erasable) discs.

Hope that helps!
