Dazzel Audio capture problem

I have tried to read all the other post and follow what others have done to capture audio with the dazzel DVC 90, purchased with the 9.1 Creator Deluxe CD. Using XP professional SP2. I've deleated all previous versions of Roxio at the control panel b-4 reloading 9.1. a second time. I've downloaded the drivers from the pinnacle site, although the driver is the same version as on the 9.1 disk. The dazzel seems to capture video just fine but no audio.

I have been using a "borrowed" Line 6 audio mixer to capture audio via the USB port it is still works. I've even deleated the Line 6 driver thinking their might be a driver conflict, but still no audio from the dazzle. Control panel indicates device working properly.

In easy audio capture or media import, when I choose "capture from" Dazzle DVC90 the "Input" window is always blank.

Any additional suggestions would be appreciated.

Device manager is showing 2 DVC 90 device drivers one audio and one video.

 

When you say I cannot capture "just audio", do you mean I cannot use the Easy Audio Capture or LP & Tape Assistant say for use with a turn table and I must be inputting video as well?

 

I'll also try the Patch when I get home tonight.

 

Yep,the device cannot be used as a straight audio capture device.That's why it won't show under the Audio tab in Media Import.

Does the Dazzle interface work with Windows Movie Maker? If so, that should tell you whether your problem is with the interface itself or with the suite.

I've got the Dazzle working in 9.0 in XP and in 9.1 in Vista.I had no trouble in Xp at all,Vista was another story.

In Device Manager do you have 2 entries for the Dazzle,one for Video and one for audio?

You can't capture just audio with it,it will only capture video.Are you not getting audio in the preview in Media Import or after you actually capture something and play it back?

Another thing you might try is these drivers.
