error message on a new install

I just installed Easy Media Creator 9 and I keep getting the error message "colourslider.swf file not found" and then I am given a dialogue box that asks me to find the file but I have no idea where to look. it says the program won't work if i don't have this file.

You can go to Start/Search, and type in colourslider.swf, but I don't know if it is a Roxio file. I don't have that file on my system in either EMC 7.5 or EMC 9, but it may be part of the Deluxe suite.

I think the second poster on that page left clicked the download link - and got an empty browser window (as I did). Right clicking, save as downloads the file (112KB). No idea what that file actually does. It won't load in Videowave. According to Super, it is a flash object, 1007 x 575 pixels, frame rate 30fps. Probably for use with Lazlo software (not familiar with that)

I've never come across it either Jean - it's certainly not a component part of any Roxio suite that I know of, hence the curiosity as to the source of the OPs program

Out of curiosity - where did you get your copy of EMC9?

 

Like Bruce, I can't find any 'colourslider.swf' (or even colorslider) on my box here and from what I can gather on google, it's an open source file (check here)
