Photosuite 8.06 won't install

Hello, trying to install PSuite 8.06 in WinXP SP2 current.

The install CD that came with a Xerox printer a few yrs back has worked fine in XP before, but this time nothing happens when I click the "MGI Photosuite" install button from the CD menuall. Other s/w closed. Also tried after fresh reboot..

I also tried launching the MGI\install.exe from inside Control Panel Install s/w from disk utility-- same no response.

Roxio support posted a reply, 'do you have a previous Twain installed'? but also the familiar, "we do not support our OEM version" ;)

I did have a Twain installed with a newer Epson printer, so I uninstalled all the Epson and rolled back with System Restore. No change-- PSuite won't install.

Any ideas?

Thanks, mark

I've used PSuite for years, mainly because it's simple s/w and for the screen capture feature.

I do have a full set of Adobe Photoshop & Premier Elements to switch to if i need another photo-ed.
