Purchased EMC9 missing MORE SETTINGS button

I am using EMC9 which I downloaded last month. I recommended it to a client who bought it from Amazon. Her version 9 and mine differ slightly. In MyDVD I have a VIEW/SETTINGS option and a MORE SETTINGS icon, she deos not. her version # is 9.something, lower than mine, yet when looking for updates, she is told her version is up to date. I NEED to help her with this and get that button so that she can have the full functionality of the menu/highlight settings.

The More Settings icon appears if

 

1) selecting File>New Project>DVD

1) editing text or

2) doing an Edit Menu Background

There may be other ways to see that icon.

 

In the image below, The More Settings icon appears to the right of the red circle icon when doing Edit Menu Background. Is that the picture of the icon you are talking about? Also, can you provide the detailed steps that you do to see the More Settings icon in your case?

There are different versions and I'm not exactly sure how they differ but there is a MyDVD Premier, Easy Media Creator 9 has a Suite and Deluxe version and they're may be some OEM versions as well.

If she bought EMC 9, and not just MyDVD 9, then it should be there if the version was a retail one. Both the standard and deluxe EMC 9 suites had that funtionality. The only ones that have limited functionality are OEM ones, which may be the case here.

 

One other thought, is she opening MyDVD directly, or MyDVD express (from like in Videowave). If it's MyDVD express, that could be why also.
