Roxio* Easy Media Creator* software displays a DirectX* 9.0 error

Symptom(s):

Certain components of the Roxio* Easy Media Creator* suite, such as DVD Builder* and VideoWave*, display an error message and will not run. Other components of this suite are not affected.

Error: "It has been detected that your display adapter does not fully support DirectX 9.0 3D features. This application requires these features in order to run."

Cause:

Certain video components of this suite require DirectX* 9.0 3D functionality in order to run properly.

Solution:

Intel is not aware of a fix or workaround for this issue. Additional information may be available at the application vendor's website.

The Intel® 82810 and 82815 graphics controllers have entered into limited engineering support mode. Intel will continue to make existing graphics drivers available, but will no longer release updates to the graphics drivers for these products.

Drivers for the Intel chipset are available here

82810

82815

The 82815 is the one not being supported by Intel any longer (article here)

DirectX 9.0c is supplied by Microsoft as a download but the error you are receiving is that the onboard graphics aren't capable of running that fully.

If the computer is a desktop, I'd recommend that you install a dedicated graphics card from ATA or nVidia and use that instead of the onboard Intel chipset. If you are using a laptop, I'm afraid there is nothing you can do
