Question

Hello,

This question pertains to Easy Media Creator 9 and creating a DVD with MyDVD

When the narration exist as a recorded file on your hard drive, how do you get the narrative added to specific panels or frames?

Thanks

If the recorded file is in a audio format supported by EMC9, then you can bring in that file to any audio track in Videowave to cover the panels/frames. If the the length of narration is longer than the combined duration of panels, you have to tweak the duration of the panels to fit to the duration of the narration.

Use Videowave directly to create and edit the slide show or video production. Then import it into MyDVD to add menus. It's easier that way. You say you have the narration already in a file, presumably an audio file, so it's the same as adding any audio file.

In Videowave, storyline view click on the panel you want to add audio to (to highlight it), click add background audio, navigate to the sound file that has the narration, highlight it, click open; a box comes up asking where you want to put it: select add on internal music track of the selected panel. Make sure the panel duration is adjusted to the length of the audio file.

If the panel contains a video with native sound, both native and added tracks will play on top of each other. You can right click on the panel, click edit, then either native audio or background audio and edit either track to suit (e.g. mute or alter volume of whole or selected part of tracks).

To add audio to particular section of a video, In timeline view add the audio file to the external sound track and drag it to the position you want it to play (expand the time line for accurate placement).
