On my Mac, Toast 7 Doesn't Work but Toast 6 Does- Why?

I'm a long-time Toast user but for the past several months, my Mac G5 DVD drive (Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-110D) acts weird with Toast 7.1.2, e.g., lots of aborted burns with media error messages. Those disks get a tiny bit written to them and, consequently, are unusable. Yet DVD blanks from the same batch (TDK printables) burn without fail in my MacBook Pro and other desktop Macs. Today I began using Toast 6 and, so far, no aborts. Does anyone know if this particular drive known for weirding out with Toast 7?

I have a 110(110D flashed to a 110) but I don't have any trouble with Toast 7 or 8.

 

All I use is Taiyo Yuden 8X -R Sls and Verbatim +R Dls.

Thanks for the reply. Since posting, I've burned numerous CDs and DVDs via Toast 6 without incident. I'm gonna stick with it and forget about 7. Might try 8 if I can do so gratis.
