Toast changes names on burnt CD and CD name as demo

I burnt an audio CD put all the correct info in Song name Artist name and so on burnt the CD

but when I go to mount it all the song names are changed and also the Disc name is Changed to DEMO.

Never had toast to do this before what's going on?

I'm having a similar problem to this.

 

The disc in question calls itself a different thing on all of the three Macs I've tried it in. So even if I download the script & install it, the disc will still call itself something different on every other Mac into which it's inserted, won't it?

What's more, having run the script, all it seemed to be doing was making the iTunes entry correct & I'd already done that manually!

 

What I really want is for it to correctly name the CD on the desktop. Is that too much to ask? Anyway, it sounds more like a Mac problem than a Toast one so I'll go & ask there.

 

Any thoughts would be appreciated, though.

Your Mac doesn't read the CD Text info that Toast burns to audio CDs. Instead it looks to its cdinfo database file on the hard drive to see if information for a disc with the same number and length of tracks was entered by iTunes or downloaded from the CDDB online database. My guess in your case is that you never had a disc called DEMO with those track titles so they must have come from a matching disc from CDDB.

 

You fix this by correcting the information in iTunes. There also is an applescript available at dougscripts.com called CD Text to CD Info which will automate the transfer of the info burned to the CD.

 

You can see the CD Text info by inserting the CD, opening Toast and choosing Disc Info from the Recorder menu.

Thank you for the info I treid a different set of songs and it did not do it on them You are probably right

I liked iTunes much better when it was Sound Jam but I guess Apple couldn't Improve one on the own

so they boyght Sound Jam and turned it into iTunes Thanks
