Question

Hi, Is there someone who could please tell me why I keep getting an error code: 010E 80070006 when trying to install EMC 9 deluxe suite? I only purchased it yesterday & it is already driving me crazy. I am running windows xp pro pack2 if that helps identify my problem. Thanks

Do you have any more info that was posted with the error? Where were you in the install when you got this error? Please post your computer specs so that we have some other helpful info to work with.

Also, update your Windows Installer - this can cause that problem as well.

Hi & thanks to all who replied. I tried everything, even 8 different computers but still no luck. Have sent software back to seller for a refund as it has to be the disc that is faulty. Hopefully next time I will have better luck with whatever program I decide to buy.

Thanks again for your knowledge & help.

It very well may have been a bad disk. Why not get an new set of disks from the "seller"? You didn't get them from e-bay, did you?

What do you have running in the background, when you install? Shut them down.

Hi,

I have diabled items through msconfig is that what you mean. Also tried disabling antivirus on its own.

Tried to copy & backup disc but that won't work either. If that's any help.

Thanks.

HI RONNIE, THE ONLY THING I CAN SUGGEST IS TOO "SAVE A COPY OF YOUR EMAIL TO YOUR COMPUTER" AND THEN JUST KEEP "RESENDING IT" TO ROXIO. IT TOOK ME SENDING 87 EMAILS IN A ROW TO GET ANY RESPONSE FROM THEM. TRY IT IT'S A GOOD TENSION RELEAVER. :D

And I bet all of the replies are in your spam box. You have to set it to accept Roxio e-mails. Please NO all caps. People just tend to ignore them. I would have if your post was any longer. If you want to yell, yell at Roxio; not the users.

I suspect that if he tried it on 8 different computers, the Program disc was bad.:blink::blink::blink::blink::blink:

He never said where he got the discs, and he never came back to say whether or not he tried to exchange the discs, so your post has no merit to it. ;)

Hi,

No it wasn't bought from e-bay. Was thinking of checking that out for my next one, but maybe that won't be such a good idea.

Thanks
