MarkyMark
Pretty new to all this burning lark people. Have managed to download a movie that I wanna burn, no problem there. The avi file is sitting in my chosen folder. Problem is that when I go to burn it through Roxio and I select the file it has a 'stop' sign on the file. Not the word 'stop' just a red circle with a line through it, thus not letting me select it to burn.Have tried all security settings but still no luck. Any help greatly appreciated. You probably have an xvid file that you've managed to borrow. You need to download and install the xvid codecs.
barryware
You probably have an xvid file that you've managed to borrow. You need to download and install the xvid codecs. Or... the AVI file is protected. If it is protected, you will not be able to make a DVD from it or view it on another computer. Protected files show up on my computer with a red circle and a line going through it, depending on the app.
Brendon
Or . . . the AVI file is compressed with some other codec than XviD, which you also don't have. I suggest you get a copy of GSpot 2.70 (a free download from the Internet) and use it to check what Codec your AVI uses, and also to check if you have the needed codec. sknis
Ha ha ha ... what are we? a dating service? Perhaps a comment on the location of this thread? This particular forum is: "For all chat not related to CD/DVD burning software. No Roxio discussion here! Chat about anything in life that interests you or just stop by to say hi. Posts that do not belong here will be removed" djps55 is just following directions and I appreciate it. Now, how does this thread get moved without making it completely un-understandable?
