Linking to two audio tracks on a menu

reubg

Question

I can't figure out how to put separate links on a menu to the same movie, but different audio tracks on the movie. I.e. "Play movie with track 1" or "Play Movie with track 2". The only way I can find is to duplicate the movie with different default audio tracks, but my DVD won't hold 2 copies of this long movie. There has to be a way!

Lay the video portion of the movie down ONCE...then lay down the regular audio track and then the aternate track underneath it.

DUPLICATE your MAIN MENU, link the "play" button to the movie with the normal track and link the duplicate menus "play" button to the movie with the alternate track. Don't forget to specify which track is to be audible for each main menu. Also...if you have an "extras" menu where the viewer can choose which track to listen to, "commentary on" button should link to the dupicate menu with the alternate track and the "off" button should link to the menu with the normal track.

I hope that all makes sense.

Agree that you want to Lay the video portion ONCE, and then the AUDIO tracks underneath it.

If you DUPLICATE the MAIN MENU, you will end up with TWO menus (I'm not sure that's what the OP wants).

To get ONE menu with TWO buttons, Copy/Paste the button to the movie. Then make BOTH buttons point to the same movie, but Set Audio Stream should be properly set to Track-1 or Track-2.

George

Thanks guys. My simple error. I forgot that there is an option to Set Audio Stream on the button! I hadn't been using it, but rather just set the default audio stream for the movie and asked viewers to switch manually with their dvd remote. NOTE TO ROXIO. YOU COULD REALLY USE BETTER DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS VERY NICE PRODUCT.
