I'm new to video editing however I have been able to upload a couple of video's to Youtube. However when I try to upload to youtube a slide show either edited in video wave or not, youtube rejects it with a fail message that indicates my file format is not compatable. It seems I have a file dmsm format in video wave and dmss when edited without it. In both cases I'm rejected. Am I doing something wrong? If not, what can I do to convert my files to some format compatible with youtube? Thanks for any help on this. Oh and I'm using Easy Media creator suite 9.

dmsm has no video at all in it. It is a proprietary file format that only Videowave uses. Load the project. Then click on the 'Output to File' icon (looks like a reel of film beside the Burn icon). You can then choose a file format that is acceptable to YouTube.

[Thanks ggrussell, That did the trick. Unfortunately my file ends up at 167 megs for a 5 min 3 sec video and you tube only allows 100 megs so I guess I'm still out of luck as far as posting on their site. Thanks again for the help.

Choose a different bitrate or different codec like WMV9. Of course, you really should check with YouTube to see what file format they prefer.
