result code 9011

Gringo

Question

I'm using Toast8 and I have been trying to figure out why I keep getting the result code 9011 whenever I try to export a DVD into a .dv file, or Quicktime file. I want to be able to put the file back into iMovie. If I use Streamclip to read the files in Roxio Converted Items folder, I can make a dv or Quicktime movie. If I use Toast to export, I continue to get the 9011 error. What am I doing wrong? What settings should I be using on Toast 8 export?

Thanks! I just spent $ for somthing I could do for free before. I wanted something that would do different conversions and I was told by the sales people Toast 8 would do it. I thought having only one software program would be better. Burn, convert, export and all in one. Guess I was told wrong!

Thank You! I have been pulling my hair out looking at options I may have missed or have wrong.

Thanks Thanks Thanks

We've been waiting months for this fix. Toast 8 functions well as beta software, except you pay $$ for it.

You aren't doing anything wrong. Toast 8 currently has a bug relating to MPEG2 video that includes PCM audio. It works fine with AC3 or MPEG audio but not PCM (which is the kind of audio created by iDVD). I'm confident this will be fixed with the next Toast update and I hope we don't have to wait much longer for that.

In the meanwhile you'll need to continue using MPEG Streamclip for that purpose.
