MyDVD6 -MyDVD9 - EMC 9

I have a question I hope someone can answer. I had MyDVD6 until my motherboard crashed. However all my files were on a external harddrive and were saved including most of MYDVD6 program missing 1 file. I found a trail version of mydvd6 on the web, downloaded it and had saved it on new computer drive. It would crash the moment I opened it, however when I opened my orignal myDVD6 program, on a slave drive, it would open and would find my files, and burn them, "sometimes". Sometimes it would crash. I assumed it was because I had 2 versions, same computer, differant drives and there was a conflict. When I remeoved the trial version, the older one would not work. When I resinstalled the trial, neither would work like before, so I deleted both versions and purchased MyDVD9 which does open, however it will only look for and open mydvd projects saved as *dmsd projects and not *dvd projects that were saved on mydvd6 program. Is there any program ROXIO sells which will open previously saved version files? Someone said MYDVD9 will or does that mean I need EMC9 which includes MYDVD9? This is so confusing and wish they would just offer the previous product, so I can go back to using it without any issues. Any Help out there?

The answer to your question is NO. You created your production with a Sonic product, that was made, prior to Roxio and Sonic merging.

 

Your product has nothing in common with the MyDVD that is included in the Roxio suites. Any help that you will get, will be in the Sonic forums below, not in this forum.

 

MyDVD 9 will not open any MyDVD 6 file.
