Cue Files wont Burn

Hi Everyone,

Hope you can help on this matter, I am using EMC9. I have got a Cue File I wish to burn to DVD or CD have tried all Ways to burn, but I just keep getting '' Please insert a Plain Disc'' I have tried a new DVD & Cd disk still wont work, I have tried Creator Classic wont work, also right click and copy to disc wont work I have the bin file as well so I just cant understand why this wont work, could anyone trow a little light on this please

Try renaming it to .iso and see if that works.

renaming .cue to .iso won't work Paul - the .cue is simply the info for the corresponding .bin file.

 

.cue files are very short as they only contain the info needed to open and burn the .bin. If the OP only has the .cue, there's nothing can be done as all the data will be missing.

I was talking about renaming the bin file. He does say he has the bin file. I've not tried it but have heard renaming sometimes works.

Usually it won't work Paul - the .bin is larger than the corresponding .iso and all the 'setup' data is contained in the .cue (think of it as a cue sheet for loading the binary)

 

Only thing I ever found to work was to use UltraISO to convert the .bin to .iso (it also converts a few other formats to .iso including .c2d and a certain other one as well) ;)

 

However - if the OP double clicks the .cue, EMC9 should kick in and open the bin and start burning. If it doesn't, then there's a fault somewhere - either with the program or the image
