thunder-supershe-991.wav

Question

The movie file "thunder-supershe-991.wav" cannot be found. Without this file, the movie cannot play properly.

I have loved Roxio. However, ever since roxio 8, I get this error message. I believe it has to do with the quick launcher. The error goes away if I make sure that no Roxio products startup with my computer. I had this problem in WindowsXP. I have it now in Vista. I did a clean install as instructed. The error still comes up.

I have no DVDs in the drive.

What is this file and why is it haunting me?

I had severe lag - which is what probably happened with the post repeating.

I'd strongly recommend you backup ALL your date and reformat the hard drive - you have garbage left over from XP (that file is part of it) and then do a clean install of Vista

Your problem is NOT the installation of EMC9 - it's a messed-up Vista installation

I have honestly no idea what that file is or where it came from - it's definitely NOT part of any Roxio suite

Out of interest - did you do a clean install of Vista (ie, do a clean install after formatting) or did you 'upgrade' by installing it over an existing XP installation?

If the latter, then there is something remaining on your drive from XP that is looking for that file - it may be something you downloaded way back and the installation has picked up on that

It's always better to do a clean install of any new OS - as you may be finding out because a lot of rubbish can be carried over
