gypsydan
I was unable to contact sales, so am wondering if any of the roxio reps readingthis cananswer. I currently use Nero, but am not satisfied for several reasons. Can Roxio do the follwoign: 1 - overburn a CD disk? 2 - burn to a full 850 mb disk, which i have? 3 - maintain open status on r/w dvd's? Nero closes the disks after a period of time when you do not update them, so they become useless for updating - a waste of money and time. That is all for now. cdanteek
1: overburn is a function of the drive - if it's capable of it, then the s/w will do it 2: Where did you find 850 MB CDs??? the biggest I've seen is 800 3: Why not try it out - free 30 day trial here In order to utilize overburning, the recording application must support that function. The application needs to be set to enable overburn, must be set to DAO (disc at once), and the session must be finalized. The drive has to support it and the media must be either 90 minute or 99 minute in rated capacity. cd

I've had the disks for many years, and am looking for more, even the 800mb would be nice, but need to first find a drive that will burn that large. Any suggestions on a drive taht will burn larger than 700mb? Also, the last question I ahd, "does Roxio close r/w DVD's that have data, and are then not re-updated after a set time? gi7omy
Any modern drive will handle the larger discs - and DVD writers aren't expensive these days Finalising a disc - you have to do it manually But - give the trial version a road test
