Plan B, would be switch to Software rendering.

I was in Plan X which was Interlace Scan, Hardware rendering. I then switched to Plan Y which was/is Progressive Scan, Hardware Rendering. Like the man said " As the mother said to the child when it got it's first lollipop "Suck it and see" ".

Although not perfect it did produce better results.

Interlaced vs. Progressive really depends on how the final output will be intended to be viewed. Old CRT TVs are ALL interlaced and those jaggies shouldn't be too bad when viewed on those. When viewing an interlaced video on a progressive display like a computer monitor or most Plasma/LCD HDTVs, then those jaggies really stand out especially when panning fast. The best solution - Don't pan so fast when you are shooting the video. Also use a tripod or monopod to help hold the camcorder steady.

What can I do about the jagged output video that appears when I pan the camera?

Sounds like an interlacing problem. Do a search on this forum with the word 'interlace' and see what you can come up with. It's been discussed a few times.
