Hi, I'm using Roxio Capture (Build 7.0.430.0 ENU) to capture video from my Sony DCR-TRV520 camcorder using the DV port to the firewire port on my PC. I've had no trouble with this before, but I shot some video last night in widescreen format (16:9), and now am unsure how Roxio will handle it. The captured file produced a .avi file, that windows media player displays in wide format. When I look at the same file within Roxio VideoWave 7 it appears to be compressed horizontally (everyone looks slimmer), which I take to mean it is no longer widescreen (no letter box apparent). Is this normal or is there some way for Roxio to display it correctly? Will edits of the file produce widescreen or compressed images? Do later versions of Roxio handle this better?
