Burning Image @ end of burning process

Jensen

Question

Burning the image at the end of the process seems to be longer than burning the dvd. Is there a way to skip this or is it just my system??? I havent done anything advanced as pictures or anything. What is burning image?

Current time burning this project: 3hrs and still counting 97% overall completed/ 55% burn image complete

Ofcourse Its an external hard drive w/2.0 cable

and my usb is still 1.1

Normal?? Or expected??

You don't give enough info on exactly how you are burning the ISO but there are a few things that would make this slow. If you have a large ISO and are using Disc Copier which is transcoding it to fit to disc, that would take longer. What speed are you burning to your external drive?

Also, make sure your hard drive is defragged.

It finished. to my dismay theres no sound.

I converted the files with dvd flicks, not to an iso image though. just to dvd format.( I think) I use roxio emc9 xe to access these and burn a dvd in my dvd. Though Im thinking Im not adding everything needed?? I tried converting the avi as an iso, and ran out of memory over night. How would a iso @ 10gigs burn to a 4.7gig disc???????
