"phantom" Clip At End Of Video

momuffin

Question

I capture my video as DV-AVI. Take all the resulting clips and "bundle" like topics as one production, then output...all my productions are then brought into DVD Builder as titles and Burn to ISO....

Now, when viewing one of these titles....just as the title ends...I get one or two frames of the NEXT clip as the video was captured.

What I've tried: using Adjust Duration, I would go to the end of the clip, "back up" 4 or 5 frames and set my end trim point....the small preview screen on the right then shows the "new" end point. However, when viewing the final burn, those "extra" frames still seem to be there.

Did I miss a step along the way (and yes, I did select OK after editing to exit Adjust Duration) and save my final work.

hmmmmm..I'll need to play with that.

Thanks

Been playing with it and seems when I capture to MPEG then edit in VW - slicing off up the last 5 frames, save production, that phamtom frame is still there.

Now when I capture to DV-AVI - edit, etc....phamtom frame no longer in final project.

So, for what ever reason, I'll keep capturing in DV-AVI (also seemed to help my other issue.)

Capturing to av gives better quality (capturing to mpeg compresses the video) and also makes editing easier in Videowave.
