Brendon
Yeah, great app.... Think I'll stick with DVD Info Pro. Must be something wrong with your system again, Gary. Worth getting it checked. CD-DVD speed picks up my LG without any fuss. Regards, Brendon
ggrussell
FRESH complete reinstall of Windows XP and all updates just a few weeks ago. Interesting that neither of you seem to be running the NEW VERSION?? DVDInfo Pro has no problem seeing BOTH of my drives.

Brendon
Interesting that neither of you seem to be running the NEW VERSION?? You caught me out - I was a bit too busy to get the new one yet. Is this better? (you won't have the Advanced tab, though) Brendon

Beerman
Walt, I think your screen is different because of the desktop theme you use in XP. At least that's what it looks like to me.
jeanrosenfeld
The different screen is just using Windows classic style v. Windows XP style for desktop. Here's mine (Windows classic with customised colours for highlight, borders, menu bar, etc.). I use sometimes Nero, sometimes DVD Info pro, as the mood takes me. grandpabruce
I think that Walt is talking about not having the Advanced Disc Quality tab. Yours doesn't show it, either.

No, I get the the same tabs layout in either style - the tabs are different in Brendons and mine. Like Gary, it initially could not find my DVD burner only the CD drive. Not important really, I prefer DVD Info pro also
jeanrosenfeld
I think the advanced quality tab is related to Benq drives, I saw a post by cd here (post 6) http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=16457

cdanteek
I have 4.7.7.3 installed but get a different screen? Like Brendon said "you won't have the Advanced tab, though". The 'Advanced Disc Quality tab' is only avaliable if you have a Benq drive with the Philips chipset my 1640, 1650, and 1655 show the tab. It has to be defaulted to that drive in the drop down menu when the program is opened to show the tab. The chipset starting in the 1670 model was changed and won't show 'Advanced Disc Quality tab'. cd
