help. When I try and burn a dvd, the default recorder comes up as 'none'. It will not give me an option to select anything. I have updated all the updates and will wont work.

If after installing Roxio it is unable to see your drives yet Windows sees them ok you might try the following:

http://images.roxio.com/en/support/pxengine3_00_58a.zip

This has worked for quite a few people and it may work for you.

If you've "updated all the updates" then you may not have the red box version with the "Vista Compatible" sticker. You may have version 6.x instead of version 9.x.

If you have found updates for version 9 somewhere, you will be instantly mobbed by a horde of users.

Would you please run Creator Classic, then go to the top toolbar Help > About and tell us what version number is shown?

It might also help if you were to tell us what the ID of your drive is, please. Go into Device Manager, click the + alongside the CD symbol there, and the IDs of your optical drives will be shown to you.
