Removing custom made stylrs from Music Disc Creator

wallace

Question

Hello,

This may seem a bit silly but I cannot find a way to remove styles that I have created and no longer need/use/want. When I open the program I am faced with a number of windows requesting pic files for styles I no longer use - the pic files have long ago been deleted. How do I clear these styles from the program.

Thank you!

Hello grandpabruce and thank you for your reply.

I looked through Music Disc Creator, I use this to record audio DVDs - the "styles" I make are for the individual DVDs I'm recording -the program comes with pre-set styles, I'd like to be rid of those as well - though I can not find the "Change Menu Style" nor does right clicking have any effect on my custom styles. Could you please give this old timer a play by play.

Thank you!

My bad. I was thinking MyDVD. Just another senior moment. :( I don't know where the styles are located. I will see if I can find them. It would be easy to delete them from the hard drive, then.

I just created a couple, calling them custom and custom2 and found each generated a corresponding .xml file in

C:\Documents and Settings\my user name\Local Settings\Application Data\EMC9_Themes

You can delete those files, (with Music Disc creator closed). Then they no longer show up in Music Disc Creator

Note this is for Windows XP. it may be different for Vista. Also to see the Local settings folder and its subfolders you need to have 'show hidden files and folders' checked in control panel, folder options, view tab. To see the .xml extension, on same tab, uncheck hide extensions for known file types, click apply, OK.

Thanks, Jean. I didn't have a chance to create any and do a search to find out their residence.

Go to Change Menu Style, browse to the ones you made, right click on one at a time, then click on Delete.
