If you can do without for a while it may just be worth saving your money and waiting for V10.It's been advertised that it will be out in September.

I can certainly wait...thanks for the heads up on that :D

Good day.

Getting a new PC in a few days with, ahem, Vista OS. Any sense installing EMC7 on it? I have the original boxed version which would have to be updated after the install

Advice appreciated

Thanks

Bill

No sense at all - it won't work. EMC9 is the only app that will

In fact EMC7 won't work on XP if WMP11 or IE7 are installed on it

There's a 30 day trial version of EMC9 (cut-down and time limited) available here if you want to try it

Wow that was quick ..thanks. I guess I will get 9.

EMC 7 worked perfectly for me with XP and WMP11, although I never did move to IE7 so I dont know what may have happened. Been into Firefox for a long time. This PC has developed too many hard drive errors and will eventually go to the grave so I had to buy a new one.

Thanks again.

Wait a minute! Besure you get the right EMC version 9 release. It should be EMC 9.1 rev c (910B68R) or greater. If you don't, expect some problems.

Would it be best to download it direct from Roxio as opposed to buying a retail boxed version?

Thanks

Bill
