import videowave production into slideshow assistant

Rob G.

Question

Is there a way to import a videowave production into the slideshow assistant? This is the concept I tried to explain in my prior posts. I want to use the Action transistions which would be applied automatically in the slideshow assistant, the only work around I can see is to manually insert changing transistions in to the video wave production which I do not want to do since I have about 300 photos in the storyline.

thank you

Rob

What I was thinking was for you to do those so called "Action" transitions in Videwave. That is, complete your Slideshow assistant project first, then if you are using the 3-step assistant, that assistant wil allow you to edit the slideshow in Videowave (I'm not in front of EMC9 now but I believe that option is in the 3rd step). It is in Videowave that you wil be able to add your transitions or any other desired effects.

The answer is no. You can duplicate the action transitions but you would be starting from scratch since many of the transitions use mulitple video tracks. I've done it but it is not easy. Better if you start from scratch.

I answered your other question in your duplicate post. Please only one thread per question.

I thought I would post the solution to my problem so others may read it if they have a similar issue. I contacted live chat which was very helpful. Here is the deal. You can't import a production into the slide show assistant so I could not use the "action " transitions without starting from scratch.

In videowave, if you change your options to render using hardware, you will have the option in applying transitions to select "random". That was perfect because it allowed me to save my 300 plus slide show and simply have the program randomly change the transitions between the photos. I will add my title page ( I was advised to create a JPEG image file and import it as the first slide) and will burn the production tonight.

I hope this helps anyone else who encounters this dilemma.

Be careful; if you force the program to hardware render and your video card is not up to it or it needs newer drivers, the program will continuously crash on you. I did repond in your other thread about a Title page. See what happens if you do multiple posts, even you can't track them.
