mo3838
I am having a video card problem with EMC9 too. I installed EMC9 last week. When I tried to open "Create DVD", I get an error message "Your video card fails to meet minimum specifications. Please upgrade." I have an Nvidia Geforce FX5500 with 256mb and is DirectX9 compatible. I did install the latest driver dated 7/07 from the Nvidia website. I even turned off hardware acceleration as suggested by MIKIEM. Nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?!
mikiem
What is the minimum specs for a video card/driver for playback to occur when trying to view a slideshow I get the message that my video card will not work thanks Have you tried checking for the latest drivers software for your video card, and making sure that you have the latest version of Direct X installed? If you don't have success searching for newer card drivers you might look for the generic ones supplied by the card chipset manufacturer -- for example try Nvidia or ATI (whatever applies) rather than the company that boxed your card. The July Direct X update is available at Microsoft.com. Might also try turning off hardware acceleration... Depending on your drivers and playback software this could be set in the card's properties, in Windows Media Player, in your playback software etc... I'd suggest that you post more details, like what video card you have, what OS, what you're trying to play the slideshow with, etc...
gi7omy
In general, any mid-range video card with a minimum of 128 MB RAM (and preferably 256 MB) will do what you want. There's no need to go for a super-fast, toss pixels round like confetti, high-end one I use an ATI one and never had any problems
