TheDeliverator
Just installed the app. When I click on Edit Video or try to start VideoWave this is what happens: I box appears: Loading component. Then nothing happens. All of the other components work properly. I have reinstalled with a clean install and the issue persists. System specs: OS: Windows XP. CPU: Dual core e6600. 2 GB of Ram. GPU: 8800 GTS 320 Mb I searched the forum w/o success for a similar issue. Thanks in advance for any help. **EDIT** I was able to use CineMagic to add a video clip to a new project. When I open the project VideoWave begins to open and then... Nothing.
ggrussell
Are you launching from the 'Home' app or from the 'Start' menu? There seems to be more people having trouble launching individual applications from Roxio Home. If you haven't yet, try running form the Start menu. Start>Programs>Roxio EMC 9>Video>Videowave
TheDeliverator
Thanks for the Reply. Unfortunately, I have already tried the method w/o success. The results are the same. I was hoping the second clean re-install would resolve but it did not. Also , I checked for updates but I have the most up to date version. Thanks again. ggrussell
Make sure you have the latest drivers from nVidia and the latest DirectX which you must do manually. Get DirectX here. Windows update does not update DirectX.
TheDeliverator
Had the latest DirectX, but ran the plugin anyways. Had the latest GPU drivers (which surprised me, but un-installed and re-installed anyways) Situation the same. Attempted to run the VideoWave9.exe file from the command prompt with the same results. Ran a repair of the installation which did not resolve. Task manager shows: VideoWave9.exe runs for about 4 seconds using 22 K of RAM before closing. TheDeliverator
Ended up reinstalling the OS. Application loads w/o issue now. Near as I can figure, it may have been the soundcard drivers.
