Question

Every time I tried to login - the system will not take the previous accepted paasword. I had to click forgotten password to set a new password to login. This may happen three/four times in a day. I am not getting any help from the support. I guess they are waiting for paid service. If that be the case, the support service should say so. I will understand that better than this lousy support. I am ready to yank Roxio from my system. Before I do, may be there is somebody in the community can address the problem I am experiencing.

I had this happen, yesterday, so it may be something that had gone awry with the server. I rebooted 3 times, and finally got in.

 

Why would you think that contacting them about this problem, would be a cost item?

There are several ways one can contact the support, as you know.

1. Roxane the joke.

2. One can call and pay $35.00 for tech support.

3. Chat and that has to be on regular office hours.

3. E-mail support. That is what I did.

The tech support changed the password and informed me of the change under the ticket response. One can read what was suggested only by login. Unfortunately, I can not login because I do not know what was the new password. This is the quality of support I am getting from them.

This is going on for a long time. That is the reason I thought that Roxio may be looking for paid support.

I have been trying to change my password. I can sign in to their system with my password, and try to change the password. Their system will not let me. They say, try another browser, clear cookies, clear files, etc. I just set this system up so that stuff isn't the proble. I am using Explorer 6 with updates and do not wish to install various browsers just to change the password. Did anyone come up with a fix? It's almost assured they aren't going to do anything.

 

I don't know about Roxio, ever since they purchased Easy CD Creator from Adaptec, it's been downhill for them. They don't seem to understand their product is buggy.

Your problem has absolutely nothing to do with a technical problem with the software, so that is not an option for you to explore.

 

You are obviously in here now, as am I, so it more than likely wa a server problem, or cookie problem on your end.

Yes I am here now. I have a scheduled Backup problem and that is in another section.

In the password issue, will not the tech support guide me in resolving the problem?

I do not have confidence that I will be able to login tomorrow without resetting the password. This is happening since the day I have registered my software.

I have latest version of Mediaface CD label maker and they also told me there are times their software users have problem since Roxio uses their software. It seems that my password problem resolved. I am now able to login without problem. My guess is that there is some conflict between the software users using both softwares independently. Roxio Tech support eventually came in for the help. They created new password for me and then I went back and the changed paasword of my liking. That resolved the issue.

I am glad to see that you got your login issue resolved. I still use MediaFace II to create most of my labels. :)

We ain't support here - just other users like you

 

Check that you aren't clearing cookies from the browser and remember the password is case sensitive

 

Also, try telling the broswer to remember the password/login and also tick the box that says 'remembetr me next time'

 

I only ever had to enter a password once when I reformat and install Firefox again and never use it again (it's remembered on the computer)

I had a problem - there was a server change or something while I was signed in but not online - and IE couldn't get back to the Forums.

 

I tried FireFox, and got in. FOr the next 30 days, only Firefox worked - until the old data cleared.

 

See if a different browser helps.

I understand that this is a support group and people like you from your personal experinece help other people like us. I appreciate that and that is why, as a last resort, I came back here. I have tried checking the "remember me" box without any luck. It is unfortunate that Roxio support is not warm to their customer. I was actually advised to contact the forum.
