Roxio VS Nero

Edwinrro

Question

I am a new user of Roxio Easy Cd Creator 9 that came installed in my new DELL computer with Windows Vista. Before I used Nero. When I used Nero and inserted a data disk created with Nero it made an automatic refresh and determined how many files in the CD had been deleted, added and modified and then made the new and updated burn. I have not see in Roxio an automatic refresh like Nero does and it makes the process more difficult. Is this function present in Roxio?

Hi GGRussell

I have tried it with Creator Classic and the problem is that I have to manually add to the project the files that I want. With Nero it is not necesary to do it manually because it does the automatic refresh of the folders in the data CD inserted and determines what the changes are and I only have to burn. I think that nero compares the folders in the data Cd with the same folders in the hard disk.

Yes, I am talking about a multi session data disk.

Thanks for your comments.

Are you talking about multi-session data disc that has not been closed? Then yes.... Open Creator Classic and insert your disc. You should get a pop-up asking you to import the previous session. Click YES. The files will be added to the data project. You then add the new files to the project and Burn.

Personally, I prefer to add the folder/files manually then have some program determine automatically what needs to be "updated" What if you only want to update one file and leave the others alone? I turn everything I can that is "automatic" on my system. I want to be at least asked if anythingis to be changed

You could be right, but it sounds more like InCD to me. Maybe not though. I have seen something similar when I have used multi session discs in Nero.
