Adding to Clip Art

PatLaw

Question

I have some clip art (gif images) that I would like to add to various photo suite productions. How can I add them such that the clip art has a transparent background? Alternatively, how can I add some of my clip art images to the clip art gallery?

Thanks all

You don't say, but I assume you are using Photosuite.

To add your clipart, after you have loaded the picture to which you want to add the clipart, click insert photos and cutouts, browse to your clip art file, select it, click Add.

As to whether your clipart is transparent or not, that is a property of the clipart file, not something you can change in Photosuite. Only certain file types (.png, gif) support transparent layer . If your existing .gif image is not transparent, if you have a graphics editing software such as Paintshop pro, you could make a transparent one from it. How that is done depends on the software. For example in Paintshop pro, you can use a so called gif optimiser that will make some selected colour on the original gig transparent (for example the background colour).

You can't as far as I'm aware add your own clipart to Phosuite's clipart gallery.
