Koolaid
I could use some help in understanding how this whole file conversion thing works. I have been using a cassett recorder to record musical notes at my band rehersal for later review. Then I got the idea that I could jus use a digital voice recorder , transfer the files to my PC, then burn a CD. A salesman told me to buy RecordNow9 and it would assist in the operation - It hasn't worked - I cant get the files to convert. Your help would be appreciated. Koolaid Give us a hint; are you having trouble capturing or editing? How do you have the cassette recorder connected to your computer? hat sound device are you using on your computer. When you open Record Audio, what do you see as the recording source? Select your sound device and you should have some options. Keep trying the options until you see the recording bars jumping. If you have no options or none of them work, you'll need to set them using Windows Sounds and Audio Device then recording and then select the jack you are plugged in to. Do you have a laptop or desktop? Now if you have the files on your computer, they are probably mono and low bit rate. You may not be able to do anything with them. Download the trial version of Goldwave and do the conversion there. There are other programs that work but for now try that to see if you can convert and then use them in the Roxio program.
