Roxio data

Marsha

Question

When I burn using data it reads my DVDRW as a CD with only mbs instead of DVD with 4.7GB's

It has also ruined 2 of my DVD RW with a strange error and can't reuse them again even if I format or try to format them. TRY is the keyword because Roxio won't do it without an error and yes I left the disc open.

The error is DATA ERROR (cyclic redundancy check) What this means I don't know.

That error message usually means bad media.

1. Update the firmware for your DVD burner.

2. Try a different brand/type of media.

3. Use Creator Classic to burn a data disc. You don't need to format the disc.

4. Make sure that the dropdown box at the bottom of the Creator Classic screen is set for 4.7 GB DVD.

BTW, we aren't mind readers, so next time tell us what program(s), in the suite, you tried to use.
