I have 4 hours and 55 minutes worth of video that I am trying to fit onto one Dual Layer (DL) DVD.
I have gone through and carefully edited the video so that it will fit on the DL disc.
Toast shows that it will fit on a DL DVD.
When I "Save as Disc Image" I end up with a .toast file too big for a DL DVD.
That's problem #1
"No problem" I thought, "I'll use the much-touted 'Fit to DVD' feature"
Except that it appears that Toast won't "Fit to DL DVD" it will only fit to a regular DVD, not a DL DVD, so instead of getting a little compression, I'm getting a LOT.
So that's problem #2.
"No problem" I thought, I'll use VisualHub to make the mpegs (which is what I am working with) into .vob files.
Except that when I drag vob files to the Toast window, it wants to make them into a "playlist" instead of a video DVD.
So that's problem #3.
Really if I can solve problem #1 the rest of it doesn't really matter.
