patatrox
How do you change security settings on your PC so you can view UPnP devices? All I want to do is view the files on one of my CD or DVD. This has nothing to do with device manager as mentioned above. The only settings regarding security (firewall aside) that has to do with UPNP devices which you provide authorization to so they can see your machine. If you're just trying to view a file on CD from your computer, go to my computer and double click on the CD drive with the disc. If you're trying to view files from a disc through a UPNP device / TV over network, you will need to first ensure the files you are trying to share exist in a media manager collection. Then you go in to Media Manager, the pulldown TOOLS menu, and choose "Manage My MediaSpace (UPnP)". Then click "start sharing" You'll also need to select the device you want to share with by highlighting that device and choosing to authorize it.
