I have both EMC 7.5 (not EMC 7) and EMC 9 running on the same computer. I am running IE6 and WMP 9.

Both 7.5 and 9 run fine.

Ditto. But I also get a Windows message every now and then that wants me to update WMP to the latest version, but I simply decline and EMC9 works fine.

Read that message again next time. I was curious and pressed ok. It took me to a Microsoft KB for updating the WMV codec. NOT to update WMP.

I have seen that same screen several times and as some of the others have done, I too have declined to run it (i.e. say yes). I was wondring just what the "other two" components that are added are really doing. And basically I am just pretty leary of any of MS's updates etc. I guess if my computers keep running as well as they are, I'll stick with the old addage "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
