Toast7.2 And Osx4.5 Compatible?

xrcjp

Question

After up-dating to Toast 7.2 a few days ago about the same time as up-dating Mac OSX 10.4.5 it seems that my Logitec DVD burner Firewire LDR-HA165FU2/M Toast sometimes can't scan or it fails to find the Logitec. Then sometimes it shows it in the DVD list, but when I go to burn the DVD, it says either the Disc (tried a few new ones -R, RW-R, RW+R) is NOT blank...But, I just opened them and took them out of the plastic wrapping and put them in. I also tried a RW-R as well. Now, I thought I did burn a DVD yesterday and it was fine. Another thing. I was running Azureus (Torrents downloads) at the same time. But, since my Mac froze when I re-booted I decided to try Toast 7.2 without Azureus running. It said that the Logitec Burner had an error. Or Toast freezes up. And in the Finder it says, "Toast-Not responding".

I checked the Logitec site for a OSX up-date but I couln't find one. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong? Please help!

It's hard to say what the problem is. If you have DiskWarrior then run it to make repairs to your Mac's directory files. If you don't have it this may be a good day to buy it. Also, there frequently are odd Firewire or USB problems after doing an incremental system update (such as from 10.4.4 to 10.4.5) The fix for these problems is to download and apply the latest Combined System Update. In essence you'll be applying 10.4.5 on top of 10.4.5. This can fix many bizarre issues.
