Install fails, RoxioEMCSuitev10.04737AA50R03.exe is not a valid win32 application

Question

Install fails, RoxioEMCSuitev10.04737AA50R03.exe is not a valid win32 application.

The install file will not even execute.

I just downloaded and tried to install the software. Since the exe won't even run, there is little I can do to try to debug it.

I must wait for Roxio to try to fix it.

Win XP Professional. Athlon 180 dual core.

Have Roxio 9 running fine.

John.

I have tested the download for the file, RoxioEMCSuitev10.04737AA50R03.exe, and it is a valid file. Most likely the file you got is an incomplete download and you will need to re-download again.

Yes, I think thats the critical question here. If it isnt the right size, then you dont have the whole file. It should be about 1.4GB but I haven't got an exact size on the final build yet.

I had that error and it seemed that the file was the right size. Fortunately, I have had this sort of thing happen before, so I downloaded it twice to be sure. The second one worked.

I tried installing Roxio EMC 10 Suite last night and all I got was click here to install. I did nothing with my computer for 45 minutes and then it started downdloading on its own. It took about 43 minutes to do the complete install. I am running Vista Home Premium and deleted Suite 9 before install. There was no error messages.

I'd advise you to open the downloaded .exe file with winrar or winzio, extract the files to a folder and burn them to DVD

It's a sel;f-extracting archive file, but doing as I recommend means you have a back-up installation copy on disc ;)
