I don't know what you're running - but that's a motherboard driver message and nothing to do with EMC 10

Check you don't have the driver CD in the drive when you're running the Roxio setup

I have an asus mobo and no disks in the drive,it only happen when i run the emc file and there is a folder inside the unzipped folder called sis files

What size is the file you downloaded and where did you get it from?

As I said, SiS and the IDE drivers are purely motherboard ones and nothing to do with the app and I can't understand why they should be there. In fact, minide is a MiniPort hard disk driver

There is no folder named SiS files in the RoxioEMCSuitev10.04737AA50R03.exe file. You can download WinZip and see what folders are in the compressed file.

OK this is resolved like to thank everyone for suggestions and input, seems to me that windows had made a write error from the temp download to the folder i saved in,I redownloaded and it went like a dream no hiccups at all the file size is 1.42 gig so if anyone else has a simalar problem id suggest bite the bullet and download again but this time id uninstalled version 9.1 then cleans out temp files before doing the download.thanks all that gave input though.

All I can say is, I wish I had the download speeds that you have, if you downloaded the file between the times of your last 2 posts. lol

It would take me around 4 hours to get that file.

I remember years back when I did maintenance on a lot of computers here, I used to try to time Norton a/v updatyes to finish before lunchtime (we only had 14K4 dialups then)

If I got them before then, I was fine - after 2:00 pm the East Coast of the US came online and everything dropped to a crawl
