Exporting to H.264 from DVD Title

Is there a way to export to H.264 without extracting the mpeg from the DVD to the hard drive first?

Yes. Choose DVD Disc as the format under the Player list. Select your DVD. Click Options. There you'll see how to choose which title(s) from the DVD you want to export (and the preferred audio track). Choose the custom option to see every title.

 

You also could drag the VIDEO_TS from the DVD to the VIDEO_TS Folders format in the Player window to do the same thing.

 

You only need to do the extraction using the Media Browser if you want to select specific chapters for export.
