RoxmediaDB10 ran wild

Jong1

Question

Just had this service grab 700MB of memory causing serious thrashing.

I had already turned off the file watcher tray applet, but this does not seem to have stopped what I assume are related services.

What does this service do and the "hard drive watcher" service? Are either of these essential if you do not want Roxio duplicating the work of Vista's indexer or can they be disabled?

Set it to disable. If that causes problems, set it to manual.
